welcoming the new year with prayer

By Paul Parisi   12-26-2022

Last January, Pastor Pat McClanahan was inspired by Cathi Herrod at the Center for Arizona Policy (CAP) having their yearly prayer walk at the Arizona Capitol on opening day of the Arizona Legislature.

Pastor Pat started a movement called “With One Cry Tucson”, to get pastors and church leaders to pray for those in authority. With 4Tucson, he organized a chartered bus ride from Tucson to Phoenix to join Center for Arizona Policy’s prayer walk.

Over 50 Tucson pastors and church leaders enjoyed a comfortable, relaxing trip to our State Capitol and joined our Phoenix brothers and sisters for prayer and worship in the Arizona Senate and House of Representatives chambers. We then proceeded around the Capitol complex, stopping at the Executive Tower, praying and singing as we walked.

This year we hope to fill 2 buses on January 9, 2023 to once again participate with the CAP Prayer Walk. The buses have been sponsored so the cost will be only $10 to cover coffee, a light breakfast and lunch before we return to Tucson. We expect to sell out so don’t wait to Register Now and reserve your seat.

The Prayer Walk begins at 7am in Phoenix so we will meet at 4am at New Life Bible Church, 4900 W Cortaro Rd, Tucson, AZ and departing promptly at 4:30am. We plan on being back in Tucson by 1:30pm.

This is an amazing opportunity to unite with pastors and laity in prayer for our government. With all the turmoil in our nation, our intercessory prayer is needed more than ever. Help us bring about a revival that will lead to Godly transformation.

Psalm 22:28 For dominion belongs to the LORD and he rules over the nations”.
