Mother’s Day is a tribute to all mothers, birth mothers and spiritual mothers, who pour into children love, nurturing and a solid upbringing. Her goal is to plant them in fertile ground so they can grow up to be godly adults.

As God chose Mary to bring Jesus into this world, our Lord has chosen all babies to be born from women. We are told in John 16:1 “A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world”. Mother’s Day is a special day but every day, we should honor and respect mothers.

Proverbs 31:25-30 “She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue. She watches over the affairs of her household and does not eat the bread of idleness.  Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:  “Many women do noble things, but you surpass them all.” Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the LORD is to be praise”.
