From our seat within a local city mission organization, the team and I have had the pleasure of meeting purpose-filled people seeking out ways to use their God-given gifts to serve others in our city. These ways are often highlighted in conversations with others.

It is not until we are in proximity working on projects that we are able to see their passions and their heart for our city. We are blown away by the number of times we hear their amazing God stories. We are thrilled to see that they are being used to impact our city so that God’s peace and prosperity are experienced by all generations.

It is the tests which turns in to testimonies, and, when shared with others, provides encouragement to others as they walk through their own tests in order to have a testimony.

Recently 4Tucson hosted our first Ministry Volunteer Fair. Our first purpose was to allow volunteers to find ministries with opportunities that fit their passions and skills. Secondly, we recognized that each ministry and nonprofit’s influence within our city could be greater if they could increase their networks. 4Tucson believes that to see a city aligned with God’s ways, we must create opportunities for Christians to unite and mobilize, as well as create spaces to increase our networks and opportunities to serve one another. This event met both goals and, if God allows, will become an annual event.

Impacting our community with the giftings and callings that God designed each of us to do collectively, will present partnership opportunities with God. It is in the openness to serve, partner, and collaborate they we will see a city aligned with God’s ways as His people unite and mobilize to put biblical solutions into action within Tucson’s most systemic problems.

If you have interest in serving with 4Tucson and other city focus ministries connect so that we can plug you into a cause that aligns with your giftings.
