blessing our first responders and elected officials

Last Friday, first responders, elected officials and guests packed the Tucson El Conquistador Resort Grand Ballroom for the 4Tucson Blessing Breakfast for First Responders and Elected Officials. This was the 9th
year we hosted this event along with the 100Club of Arizona. Friday’s event was the best yet. First responders and elected officials who support first responders were eager to receive God’s blessing as we all prayed for them.
Our first responders are God’s servants to do good. Our elected officials are entrusted to choose the very best to perform such an important job. Police officers, firefighters, EMT’s and 911 dispatchers all fill roles that provide the highest level of safety to the public.
First responders face a multitude of life and death situations every day as they protect and serve us. We are grateful we have elected officials that highly prioritize public safety, giving first responders the tools, resources and support they need to do their job.
Even though elected officials are faced with budget constraints, the ones who fully fund public safety reap the benefits of low crime and quick emergency service response times. For those of us who are served by fire districts, we the people elect the fire district governing boards and vote for the level of funding.
The most important priorities of government are protecting our rights given to us by God and providing an environment where we can live peaceful, tranquil lives. We salute our first responders and the elected officials who support them.
