Worship The Environment

Move our city from worshipping the environment to becoming stewards of the environment.
Manage our city's resources to maximize the benefits to families.

Challenges

The church will face an uphill battle to replace the environment as the god of our city.

The Bible calls us to be stewards of the creation, not worshipers of it.

Many churches have led their members to be actively involved in serving the environment (the creation) more than serving God (the creator).

Some pastors and many people in the community will resist equating the environment to a god.

If not handled properly, it will be very easy for churches to be branded as unsympathetic to the environment or, worse, enemies of the environment.

We need a clear bibical statement of our position before others can define our position for us.
